I wanted to keep a year of coffee.
So I started with the simplest thing I could think of: keeping every bag of beans I actually used.

One year later, there were 41 bags stuffed into a suitcase. Some were empty. Some were folded. Some still had a few beans hiding in the bottom.
Looking at that suitcase, I realized I had managed to record a year in coffee in probably the least practical way possible.
There had to be a better way to keep the year.
